Keyboard Shortcuts

Omni Designer provides numerous keyboard shortcuts to help you build and manage your report templates more efficiently. The shortcuts are active whenever you are focused on the designer interface.

These shortcuts apply no matter where you are clicked inside the designer.

Standard clipboard operations are supported for elements. If multiple elements are selected, the action applies to the entire multi-selection block.

Copy, paste, and duplicate elements using keyboard shortcuts

When a table cell is selected, you can toggle text styles from the keyboard:

Elements physically stack on top of each other. Use these shortcuts to manipulate the Z-index of the primary selected element.

Reordering overlapping elements using layer shortcuts

When your focus is on the canvas (and you are not actively typing in a text field):

When multiple elements are selected, you can quickly align them using keyboard shortcuts.
